SHA is a non-partisan, non-profit, civic organization that promotes the general welfare of the residents of the City of Alexandria, particularly those that live in the Seminary Hill neighborhood. We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our 5,000 members living in 2,000 homes located in the center of Alexandria and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We embrace positive change enthusiastically while working to preserve - and build on - the rich history, diversity, inclusiveness, and special nature of our area and our city.
Everyone living within our boundaries is a member - there are no dues or homeownership requirements. The SHA Board of Directors meets regularly at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month online and/or at the Parish Hall of the Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill, 3606 Seminary Road (corner of Seminary Road and Quaker Lane). Some of our meetings are virtual only, so please check the website for details on the next meeting. Our meetings are open, and we invite you to join us.
